Master programmes in art and design focus on a research-based process of creation. As a Master student, you critically reflect on the boundaries of your discipline through research methodologies, a variety of theoretical discourses, and interdisciplinary activities. But you will also engage in a rich mix of discipline-specific topics and discussions.

Last but not least, in this master year, you will produce project-based art/design work contexualized by your research essay.

A research-based process of creation is different from the Bachelor's focus on acquiring solid skills and techniques needed to become a full-fledged art or design professional. As a Master student, you will learn to contextualize your work in the broad perspective of a number of creative disciplines and theoretical discourses. A successful Master degree makes your work, your creative process, and your profession even more dynamic and complex.
