The context of much of my work is concerned with identity and displacement. I try to approach these topics not in the literal way of "Who am I?" and 'Where am I?', which I believe hold no static answers, but instead I question these notions as an attempt to expose the evolving and contrasting social conditions that make these questions necessary.

My work takes the forms of video and photographic documentation, and draws direct inspiration from my immediate environment. The re-contextualization of everyday objects and situations gives me the opportunity to question the conflict between the personal politics and social parameters in which we exist. This documentation often includes elements of performance, which allows my work to exist in its own narrative, with a distinct beginning, middle and end. This autonomy in the work however quickly falls apart when my environment changes and I am re-confronted with the same social questions. Then the process begins again.
