Workshops2006-2009
Yearly, Fine Art students attend an international student workshop (Skoki, Poland, May 2009), with students from academies across Europe. Henk Slager, Dean of the Utrecht Graduate School of Visual Art and Design, develops a continuing series of workshops for Fine Art students in the context of international biennales (such as Istanbul Biennale, Shanghai Biennale and Venice Biennale). The Utrecht Consortium* annually develops a series of workshops by artists and curators of international reputation. Workshops have been led by Mika Hannula, Ricardo Basbaum, Sean Snyder, Yael Davids, Fritz Haeg and Gerard Byrne. The workshops last three or more days, allowing students to participate in the entire process of artistic production. * The Utrecht Consortium is a cooperation between MaHKU and Utrecht art institutions, including Casco and Expodium)
