PHOTOS EXAM EXHIBITION

2007

The Master researches in Interior Design 2007 might easily be notified as aplied ideals. Innovative tendencies were investigated, boiled down to their ideal essence and questioned at their limits. Jonneke Aartsen for example studied the entire variety of flexible office concepts and found none of them appropriate for small office spaces. Her design shows a possible solution by creating an adaptable ceiling. Tim van de Weerd designed a strategy for participating recycling and renovation for the most disputable building in town. Some standards from other disciplines where incorporated in the interior: Lotte de Graaf made mobile living happen in left-over buildings while Sarah Yu converted the Dutch design principles towards a second hand bookshop. Multi sensory experience was integrated in the museum design of Mirya Wibisono and Minjung Cho confronted Dutch and Korean apartments to arrive at a more dynamic floor plan. Most ambitious however was the attempt of Miao Xiaoqiu to question the ideal city, resulting in a multi-level transport system. And finally Marieke Jacobs who gave a humanized face to minimal design by creating a seamless surface fragmenting in use into decorative patterns.
