Francis Amenakpor

Amenakpor Francis is a fine artist. I hold a BA Art Degree from the College of Art - Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi Ghana. I have since graduation in 1992 been teaching Art in schools in Ghana. I also practice art at home. I work in wood, clay, cement and do a lot of drawing. I work a lot with the human figure.
Currently, am in the MA Fine Art programme to research on creating a cultural identity for the Anlo- Ghanaian. I found the Tsaka garment as a good cultural and artistic form to use for this kind of representation of the Anlo people.
I hope to add new value to old symbols and let them speak for the Anlo people now more than ever before.
